Tracy now has 33 years’ experience as a manager in the acute sector, residential aged care sector and as a University Lecturer and Tutor.
Previously a Residential Manager in a large residential aged care facility, Tracy worked alongside care staff on the night shift to understand the needs of the business overnight.
During these shifts, she participated in turning residents using a slide sheet. Tracy considered this an outdated practice and concluded there must be a better way to achieve the same result of pressure injury prevention.
There had to be a way to perform the same function without discomfort, disruption, or injury to the resident or staff. The solution was the invention of The Burling Turn Assist Bed, which we now bring to you.
As the Managing Director of Burling Aged Care Solutions, I bring extensive experience in business management to the table. Prior to leading Burling Aged Care Solutions, I successfully owned and managed two other thriving businesses, honing my skills in strategic planning and operations.
Before venturing into entrepreneurship, I served as an Area Manager for Shell Australia, where I developed a comprehensive understanding of corporate operations and team leadership.
Throughout my career, I've held a variety of management positions, each contributing to my expertise in driving business growth and fostering productive teams. I am passionate about leveraging my diverse background to provide innovative solutions and exceptional service to the aged care sector.
